Jokom Outfitters

Jokom Outfitters

Jokom Outfitters is an Indigenous-owned, women-led outdoor apparel brand rooted in
the Mi’kmaq way of life. We create small-batch pieces for people who feel most alive on
the land—camping, hunting, fishing, or gathered around the fire. Guided by the Mi’kmaw
principle of Netukulimk (ned-ouu-goo-limk), we prioritize balance with the land, use
responsible materials, and produce in thoughtful quantities, so we only take what we
need.

Founded by Kendra Barberstock (Paul), a proud member of Sipekne’katik First Nation,
Jokom Outfitters grew from a lifetime of feeling most at home in the bush, even while
living in the city. Every design carries a message about connection to land and
belonging, and a portion of our profits support grassroots initiatives that help more
people access and feel welcome in outdoor spaces.
