My name is Lisa and I am from the Chippewas of Nawash. I am currently settled in the Algonquin Territory and am a self-taught beader learning tips and tricks from generations of Auntie’s before me. I actually started beading with a “learning kit” and fell in love with the craft. My business name translates to the Inner Strength of a Bear. Outside of beading I have a Masters Degree in Indigenous Policy and currently work with Indigenous partners within the Ottawa community.
