Mohawk Memories
My name is Maggie Downer. I am a Mohawk, bear clan women from Tyendinaga Mohawk territory. From a young age I would create traditional crafts with the other members of my family such as corn husk dolls and rattles. Today I still use traditional methods to create contemporary and modern Indigenous styled jewelry.
